Syrian found guilty of terrorism in politicized Hungarian case

BUDAPEST — A Hungarian court found Syrian citizen Ahmed H. guilty of terrorism and illegal entry on Wednesday in a case that Hungary’s government has turned into part of its election campaign.  Less than four weeks ahead of Hungary’s April 8 parliamentary election, the decision is a political win for Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán, who has repeatedly and publicly portrayed Ahmed H. as an example of the dangers of migration.
